The installation of AbAlarm is easy and intuitive, you can place the program files where you want them. The people at Abelssoft first of get my vote for polite for asking permission to add to the Start Menu and letting you pick where. Plus for asking whether or not you want Quick Launch and Desktop shortcuts. Small touches I know, but it shows that they are thinking of their users.

However the really good news is that AbAlarm 2009 really has a full fledged scheduler built in so that you can be reminded of events at regular times. It will even do other sophisticated stuff like start a program at a certain time, shut off your computer, open a website at a certain time. Plus of course it has a simple countdown timer and you can even pick different sounds for your timer ring.

In conclusion, who would have thought that you could get for free such a incredibly versatile timing utility. Just think about it, who needs a wife when you now have AbAlarm 2009 to time your tea and pizza and to remind you when to take the garbage out? Hey go get it, it's surely for you.
