I've told you about Ad-aware before (versions 4.02 and 4.5, I believe).  Version 5.6 is much better!

Ad-aware scans your computer's memory, registry, and hard drives for  spyware components (Alexa, Aureate, Comet Cursor, Cydoor, Doubleclick,  DSSAgent,EzUla, Expedioware, EverAd, Flyswat, Gator, Gratisware, HotBar,  NewDotNet, OnFlow, TimeSink, Transponder, Web3000, and Webhancer). The  software then shows a list of its finds and allows you to remove them  from your system. Version 5.6 now supports the removal of EzUla,  Expedioware, and Transponder modules, as well as allowing you to  "exclude" spyware modules you want to keep.

I downloaded, installed and have used Ad-Aware ver. 5.6. The software  is very uncluttered, clear and easy to use. Remember, some ad-supported  software might not work after running Ad-aware; if you're using Windows  2000, check the software's website for further information. If you've  used previous versions of Ad-aware, please uninstall and delete the  previous folder before installing version 5.6.

I highly recommend Ad-aware, and "free" is a price I can afford! Try it  today!
